As you can probably already tell by most of my outfit posts, I am a dress wearing kinda gal. Dresses are easy for me, they are what I am most comfortable in and feel most like myself when I am wearing them. That being said, I do wear other things. So for the sake of showing a more well rounded style, I decided to style a pair of jeans……..with a dress! Ha Ha, I can’t help myself! ;) If I’m being completely honest though, I’m not exactly sure about the final look. Do you ever look in the mirror and think you look great and then see pictures of yourself later in the exact same outfit and wonder what you were thinking? That’s kind of what happened to me with this outfit when I was editing the photos. I mean, I don’t hate it, I just don’t feel like myself. I love the dress and I love the boots, I’m just not so sure about the jeans with them. Oh well, I tried and will continue to try things outside of my comfort zone. Maybe I’ll get really crazy and wear the jeans with just a regular old shirt next time! ;)

I hope you all had a great weekend! They are just never long enough, are they? Aaron and I went out on Saturday night and enjoyed the beautiful weather we had here in Michigan. It’s crazy to think that it will be fall soon enough and I’m just not ready for it yet. And we all know what comes after the fall….Ugh! I can’t even let myself think about that! So come on summer, hang around a little while longer, will ya?

    Hey, that’s a beautiful dress! :)

I would love to see the dress styled with stockings just as well! x

    • Truly, Tamara

Thank you so much, Jes! I’m definitely going to try styling this dress again ;).

  • Leah

The boots are SO cute! I actually like this look together – it’s a nice mix.

    • Truly, Tamara

Thank you, Leah! It’s growing on me ;). I love these boots and wear them all the time. The best thing is that I’m pretty sure I got them on clearance at Target for around five or six dollars!

  • Joy

The boots are great! Go you for getting out of your comfort zone too! I want to get some great cowboy (girl?) boots that won’t break the bank. Any ideas?

Saw a pair of vintage heels that you might’ve liked when I was out doing my once a year clothes shopping today;) Should’ve had my phone to take pics.

Thanks, Joy! In general, real leather cowboy boots can be a little pricey. My personal favs are Frye boots, but they aren’t exactly inexpensive :-/. They are definitely an investment piece. Check eBay and local thrift shops. You never know what you can find! :)
